Privacy policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit thewellyears.com (the “Site”), operated by The Well Years (“we”, “us”). If you have questions, email hello@thewellyears.com.

Information we collect

We don’t collect personal information directly. The Site has no accounts, logins, comment forms, or checkout. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message, and we use it only to reply.

Your quiz answers stay on your device

The Start Here quiz runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are saved in your browser’s local storage (under the key bp-quiz-v2) so you can pick up where you left off. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete them at any time with the “Clear saved answers” or “Restart the quiz” buttons, or by clearing your browser’s site data.

Affiliate links and third-party cookies

Some links on the Site are affiliate links. When you click one, you leave the Site and go to a retailer or brand, and that retailer or the affiliate network that manages the link may place or read cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies in your browser. They use these to record that you came from the Site and to credit us with a commission if you make a qualifying purchase.

Third parties, including Amazon and other retailers, affiliate networks, and advertisers, may serve content and advertisements, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognize cookies on visitors’ browsers. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We do not control these third parties and we do not receive your name, payment details, or what you bought, only aggregate reports of qualifying sales.

Fonts

The Site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, Google receives standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type. See Google’s privacy policy.

Hosting and server logs

Our hosting provider may process standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to deliver the Site and keep it secure.

Analytics

We don’t currently use analytics. We may add a privacy-respecting analytics tool in the future to understand which pages are useful. If we do, we will update this policy before it goes live, describe what it collects, and explain any choices you have.

Your choices

• You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. The Site works without them; you just won’t keep saved quiz answers.
• Many browsers offer tracking protection that limits third-party cookies.
• To ask about any information you have sent us by email, or to ask us to delete it, write to hello@thewellyears.com.

Children

The Site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date.
