Weight / Metabolic Support Protocol

Body-composition goals depend on protecting lean muscle while supporting healthy metabolism. This protocol combines a botanical that supports healthy glucose metabolism with foundational protein and creatine to support muscle maintenance alongside diet and training.

How this connects

This is part of the foundation, alongside mitochondrial health and gut health. Steady glucose and preserved muscle support even energy through the day, and even a few short nights can make the next day’s glucose handling less efficient, so sleep matters here too. Read the full protocol story.

Habits that make this protocol work

These cost nothing and do the heavy lifting. Supplements are meant to sit on top of them, not replace them.

  • Walk after dinnerA 10–15 minute easy walk after meals, especially dinner, supports a healthy post-meal glucose response and digestion, and helps you wind down.
  • Protein at every mealBuild each meal around a solid portion of protein. It supports muscle, recovery, and staying full, and steadies energy through the day.
  • Resistance training2–4 sessions a week supports muscle, strength, healthy metabolism, and healthy hormone levels as you age.
  • Zone 2 cardioEasy-to-moderate cardio where you can still talk in full sentences, accumulated across the week. It’s a training stimulus for your mitochondria.
  • Ease up on late meals + alcoholFinish big meals 2–3 hours before bed, which gives digestion a head start before you lie down. Alcohol may help you nod off but tends to fragment sleep later in the night.
  • Break up long sittingStand up and move for a few minutes every 30–60 minutes. A short walk beats another coffee for the afternoon dip.

Talk to your healthcare provider first. Supplements affect everyone differently and can interact with medications. Start with one product at a time at the low end of the dose range, and check with your clinician before starting, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking prescription medication, or managing a health condition. Doses shown are typical label ranges, not personal recommendations.
